Refund policy

At Fridge Date Mates, we want you to love your labels. This policy explains your rights under Australian Consumer Law and how we handle returns and refunds.


1. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

You are entitled to:

  • A replacement or refund for a major failure

  • A repair or replacement if the goods are faulty or not as described

A “major failure” includes situations where the product:

  • Has a fault that would have stopped you from buying it if you’d known

  • Is significantly different from the description or sample

  • Is unsafe or unfit for its normal purpose


2. Change of Mind

Due to the nature of our products, we do not offer returns or refunds for change of mind, including:

  • Ordering the wrong item

  • Deciding you no longer want the product

  • Colour or size preferences

  • Minor variations in print, finish, or colour

Please choose carefully before purchasing.


3. Faulty or Incorrect Items

If you receive an item that is:

  • Faulty

  • Damaged in transit

  • Incorrect (wrong product sent)

Please contact us within 7 days of delivery at [sales@fridgedatemates.com.au] with:

  • Your order number

  • A brief description of the issue

  • Clear photos of the item and packaging

Once assessed, we will arrange a replacement or refund in line with Australian Consumer Law.


4. Return Process

If a return is approved:

  • We will provide instructions on how to return the item

  • Items must be unused and in original condition where possible

  • Return shipping costs will be covered by us for faulty or incorrect items

We recommend keeping proof of postage for any returns.


5. Refunds

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method.

Please allow:

  • 3–5 business days for us to process the refund

  • Additional time for your bank or payment provider to finalise the transaction

Shipping fees are not refundable unless required under Australian Consumer Law.


6. Exclusions

We are unable to offer refunds or replacements for:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Damage caused by misuse, improper storage, or application

  • Items that have been used, altered, or tampered with

  • Delays caused by postal services once dispatched


7. Visual Aid Disclaimer

Our labels are designed as visual organisation tools only.
They do not guarantee food safety or prevent food spoilage. Customers are responsible for determining whether food is safe to consume.
